My name is Kelsey, and that is what you can call me. I don't really have any nicknames anymore. In seventh grade, someone used to call me "Kelly Kid," but I never really figured out why.
ReplyDeleteI was born and raised in Abilene. I have never lived anywhere else. It's not terribly interesting or remarkable, but I like it. It feels like home.
My media tastes are rather abnormal, because I have a strange obsession with Japan. Almost all of my music is in Japanese, save showtunes, and almost all I watch is anime. However, I still like movies based on my favorite books, and I still like Disney movies (the good ones, anyway.)
The thing I have done at ACS that makes me most proud is my acting. I have been in three productions, about to be four. If you want specifics, I was Isis in "Oh, Horrors, It's Murder!", Pheobe in "As You Like It", Miss Hannigan in "Annie (Jr.)", and I am about to be Lady Bracknell in "The Importance of Being Earnest." As you can probably tell, I love drama.
I spend a great amount of time on the computer and internet. Usually I am emailing my friends and family, playing games, or watching anime. I probably spend a little bit too much time on the computer, in fact.
In my free time, I read quite a bit, usually fantasy books. I also draw some, but not as often. My favorite thing to do is write poems and stories. Most of the time, I will even be writing in my head, sometimes even in class. (That's what's happening when I totally space out and look like I'm not listening.)
I love English. I like everything about it. It's my favorite subject in school, and my current plan in college is to major in English. I plan to become a novelist and/or a playwrite someday, so English is a very important part of my life. I absolutley detest bad grammar and usually correct anyone who misuses it, even outside of class. It's important!
my name is blake. you can call me blake. and my last name is sherman and some people call me shermanator, and blakeipoo. im from alrington and i loved it. i went to six flags everyday. i like every kind of music and moives i love music alot more though. track i love running. when im on, im always on myspace or facebook. i dont read much but i love to go out and play sports. some people say im funny, and fun to be with. yes i love trips. my favoritee was the trip to flordia to go to disney world. i like english but i have deslesia and i cant spell or read that good so it hard but fun.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Clint, and that's what I go by. IN like 7th(?) grade a ton of people called my Clintler because we came up with a story about Hitler or something in a class. I was born in Kingwood, Texas, which is near Houston, but grew up basically in San Antonio. I think it's unusual my grandad basically built it I guess. Ha. I listen to a wide array of music. It basically depends on who I'm with. When I'm warming up for a sport or with my friends straight out tha hood I can TOLERATE rap. When I'm with my Dad I listen to classic rock and I also enjoy acoustic, folk, and appalachia. I LOVE the banjo. I don't know if I've done anything interesting at ACS, but I do play all sports even though Shea would tell you I'm terrible, even though I'm not. I'm not comfortable online, and didn't even know what a blog was. Everything computer related never works for my family. Never. I mostly look at cars on the computer. I love cars. particularly fast cars. I like car magazines and i like mysteries and thrillers. I love to play sports and just cruise around with my friends. I don't know. Maybe I like to hunt since I hunt with my best friend a lot. I like ot travel but not for too long. I went to Georgia a couple years ago wiht my family. My Aunt has a lakehouse, and a G37 so it was really fun. Literature is really interesting. It's fun to put yourself in other people's lives. Ha

Hey real name is Kristin. But I go by Taylor. Halli also calls me TayKay, and others just call me Tay or Taylor. I am from Abilene, so much fun. I really like all music and all kinds of movies. I really haven’t done anything important here, but I do play all the sports and stuff like that. I really like computers; I just understand them really well. I really HATE reading its dumb to me. They would all probably tell you I am crazy and random all the time. I hate going on trips and stuff like that, it’s too uncomfortable. I really don’t like English that much, just because I am not that good at it.

I think the thing that makes me most proud that I have done at ACS is making honor society my first year here.
I hate reading, in my opinion it is not enjoyable ever and I don't like reading in my spare time.
Yes, I love traveling on long trips, I think my most memorable trip would have to be driving from Washington D.C all the way back to Abilene on a charter bus with a bunch of my friends from Wylie and some kids from Jim Ned. We watched lots of movies and just talked and got to know eachother a lot more and it was a lot of fun.
I usually don't enjoy english but sence I have came to ACS I have liked english a lot more, the teachers make it more interesting and fun to do.

ReplyDelete2. I am from Baid which is where my current residence is. Nothing has happened in Baird. It is a very small town.

Last Question. I dont really like the grammar part of it because i cant really spell or diagram. I know that english is important because I want to major in music but I would like to do some story writing on the side of that. My name is Jenae, that's what I'm called. My nicknames aren't really embarrassing but I have a ton. Jenaenae is what Beth calls me! My best friend Cassie calls me Naeners which is what my dad used to call me and it kinda stuck with her.. Drew calls me Nanners, I'm not really sure why, but he does. And a lot of people just call me Nae.
ReplyDeleteI lived in Lubbock until I was 6, and I've lived here ever since. So I've lived here the longest. There isn't really anything unusual about Lubbock or Abilene, soo..
I like to listen to mainly contemporary music or country. I've learned to not listen to just one song, because that one song is the one that everyone knows. (aka Owl City -- Fireflies. Not the best song on that album.) I haaaate rap, I think it's retarded. I like almost any type of movie, but I love scary movies the best. But not those stupid paranormal movies like Haunting in Connecticut or The Ring or The Grudge. I like those, but I like suspense better. (As in When A Stranger Calls and movies like those.)
I haven't been at ACHS long, but one of the things I was most proud of was being Stage Manager for the school musical 'Annie, JR.' I hated every second of it because I was constantly being stressed out but I look back now and it was an amazing experience. (and it also told me to never do it again.) I am also a part of Encore, the singing group. Even though everyone hates it, or makes fun of it, and even though I say I don't like it, I really do. I enjoy music and singing and I really like having a small group that is serious about it to do it with.
I'm pretty sure I'm on the computer 24/7 so I'm pretty comfortable with it. I prefer it over writing, of course. I'm mostly on facebook or MLIA or my email when I'm online. It's rather pathetic.
I LOVE reading and I have probably reread the books on my bookshelf 100 times. My favorite books of all time are the Harry Potter books, I think I've read them all at least 10 times. J.K. Rowling is a GENIUS. (Except for the whole thing with Dumbledore.. what was that?! If you don't know what I'm talking about, then.. I'll tell you later.) I also love the Hunger Games series, which I cannot WAIT for the third book. I also love Stephanie Meyer, yes, I am a Twilight fan.. But only the books, the movie was the worst thing ever I'm pretty sure I wanted to rip my eyes out. (New Moon was pretty good I will admit.) I also like to hang out with my brother when he's home and not at the dorms :)
There is tooo much that my best friend would tell about me. She would probably say that I'm loud and obnoxious and very outgoing. I will have to agree on that. I also hate homework and I am a horrible procrastinator. (sorry!)
I love going on long trips, but I enjoy getting to sleep in my own bed. I have two memorable trips, my first is my trip to Colorado for Wilderness Trek. We slept on a mountain for a week, and it was the most amazing experience I've EVER had! It was soo beautiful! And loads of fun. (Clint was on the same mountain as me. We got married. HAHAA!) My second was my mission trip to St. Louis, MO. That was just amazing! We stayed in an inner city church and we held a VBS for the local kids there. We also visited the Arch and watched the St. Louis Cardinals!
Sadly, I will say I do not enjoy English. I've never really been good at it, ever since elementary. (You can ask my teachers!) I really get confused but I understand it on occasion. I try to make it as fun as possible! :)
My name is Austin and thats what I like to be called, I've never had a nickname. I lived in Abilene my whole life and its gotta be one of the most boring towns ever but I still like it. I mostly listen to rock and country. I like comuters but I dont really know how to do a whole lot of stuff on them, I mostly just get on facebook and listen to music. I play video games or just watch tv in my free time, I don't read that much unless I find a really good book. My best friend would probably say that I'm lazy but really awsome. I like traveling but I've never really had the opportunity to travel long distances. The longest trip I've ever been on was to Colorado but I was only 4 or 5 so I don't remember it. I like literature and reading the old stories. I don't like all the homework but besides that its pretty fun.

ReplyDeleteI honestly cannot remember any nicknames, much less embarassing nicnames I've been called in the past.
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My parents were missionaries there and I lived there until I was three years old. As most people know, Spanish is the main language spoken there, which I found very interesting.
Basketball is my favorite sport at ACS. So, to follow up on that comment, I'm most proud of my 35 point game earlier this basketball season.
I am extremely comfortable on the computer. I type around 65-70 wpm and love computer games. My homepage online is mylifeisaverage.com, so I read those posts quite frequently. I venture upon Facebook quite a bit also. Basically, those two websites (and now this one I guess) are what my online time consists of.
When I read, I enjoy action or survival novels, Sports Illustrated, and Golf Digest. Besides reading, I'll play some Xbox 360 or a pick-up game in basketball at the school. On weekends I enjoy hanging out with friends and playing games like ping-pong or halo.
I enjoy trips, but the traveling part kills me. If my family travels within the country, there is no doubt we will travel by car. This past Christmas break we drove to Boca Raton, Florida, to visit our family on my mom's side. It was a three thousand mile round-trip. THREE THOUSAND MILES ROUND-TRIP. BY CAR. Of those three thousand miles, I personally had to drive 600. The driving was honestly the most memorable part of the trip.
I enjoy the literary portions of the year. Although I love literacy, I am not enjoying Antigone right now. I have trouble understanding some of the old plays and epics, especially the odes in Antigone.

hello my name is carlee , i have one nickname and it is carl but i do not like it because it sounds to much like a boys name. Iam from Rome, GA, and something that I liked to do there was cow tipping. I like to read, my favorite books are francine rivers books. They are fictional bible stories but they are so fun to read. I love sweet stories and I also enjoy funny movies.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I do like about ACS is sports. I loved playing volleyball for the first time this year. And i also enjoy running during track season. I am very comfortable with a computer and when I am usually on i go on facebook or play weird games, just depends on the mood. When I have free time I enjoy sleeping and watching movies. I usually sleep for a long time if I get freetime though.
I do enjoy literature I love the stories we read , but my least favorite would have to be grammar. I have never really done any grammar before until last year, when I moved here. Overall English is good, just not so much in grammar for me.

Sorry I was not able to post this comment the first time, I don't mind if you can't grade this. Any ways my name is Reilly McGee. You may call me Reilly or Rye which ever is easier. My friends call me Reilly well some of them others along with my family call me Rye. The only minimly embarassing nickname I have was given to me by my deceased great grandfather, he called me Rip but why I do not know.I was born in Altus, Oklahoma but very few people know that because my dad is in the Airforce so at the young age of 5 my family and I moved to Abilene. There really isn't much interesting about Altus. Its a small town where the Airforce base makes up almost all of the town. I enjoy listening to country and rock music but I don't really have a favorite. I don't often watch movies but when I do they are usually action movies like Avatar or Star Wars. It might sound cheesy but I think being able to put forth my views on how to as Mr. Fisher would say "Take this school to the next level." is what I am most proud of. As you may have noticed I am not to great online but I am a fast learner so I am getting better. Usually when I am on the computer I am either checking my email or doing homework. I do enjoy reading when I have a good book that is but in my free time I will go play various sports or hunt. My friends will probably tell you I am crazy and a little impulsive but I like to be the first one to do things. I absolutly love trips be them long or short. My most memorable would have to be when my dad and my family me included were stationed in Beek, Belgium Europe. While there we toured the obvious points of interest like Paris and Cologne. We also visited several castles and places of unique or important history like Normandy, France. I Really enjoy English or rather I enjoy Literature a subject pertaining to English but as you have probably guessed or noticed throughout the blog my sentence structure is not the best.
